• The Waste Ed Roadshow

The Waste Ed Roadshow is an 80-minute performance designed to educate teenagers about the waste we create and attempt to dispose of. We do this in an innovative and compelling style, through the mediums of live performance, custom created film, and interactive demonstration. Visit our Waste Ed Website for more information.

    YouthPrints

The Web of Hope promotes the concept of sustainability with the goal of making it permeate all echelons of society and culture. Our youth education initiative – YouthPrints is about directing this vision specifically towards disadvantaged young people. Young people fundraise, attend inspiring workshops on team building, sustainability and cultural awareness, have the opportunity to learn overseas and then be supported to share their new knowledge and skills in their local communities. By promoting sustainable living and making it a lifestyle choice which is attractive, accessible and achievable for young people YouthPrints will improve the environment for everyone both locally and globally.

Here’s what young people and others think of YouthPrints:

“We need to see sustainable living in an exciting way to help us appreciate it and apply it to our daily lives, also to encourage other young people to do the same” Stacey, aged 16.

“It will open our eyes and we can learn how to live green" Jack, aged 18.

“Help us to realise how much we take for granted, we're the next generation who could make a difference" Ted, aged 17.

  • “Putting young people in a different situation is often very effective in changing attitudes…I do strongly believe in the value of learning from other people in other lands” John Rhymer, Head of Centre and Adviser on Education for Sustainable development at Bishops Wood Environmental Centre.

“Sounds amazing – we would be very interested in hearing how you go on this – and in supporting the initiative” Rupert Brakspear, Education for Sustainable Development Officer, Worcestershire County Council.

“Your project sounds like a fantastic idea and a fabulous opportunity for the young people involved. The difference here is that the experience won’t stop when the young people return. They’ll be able to apply what they have learnt at home and show other people the difference they can make. Fab project – thoroughly endorse it!” Davina Goodchild, Chief Executive Officer of the national organisation, Youth Action Network.
